Tennis Up Assistant Coordinator

Work with the Tennis Up Coordinator to set up the Tennis Up (elementary school after school program) in 5-7 schools for one 5 week session |
Recruit schools for participation in the program. Organize and recruit volunteers for each school. Disperse equipment to each lead volunteer/school. Insure the program runs smoothly in all schools by keeping communication open with Lead Volunteers. 2 meetings with Tennis Up Coordinator: organizational and follow up meetings |
Responsible, dependable organized, good communication skills, able to reach out to schools and volunteers. 3 hour training is mandatory |
Either one spring or fall 5 week session plus the time it takes to help organize the program |
Pre-Session estimate 2-3 hours per week over a period of several weeks to organize program, 2 hours per week during session |

Responsible, pleasant personality, able to work quickly and keep a line moving. Must have good communication skills. 10 minute orientation before event is necessary. |

Court Monitor |
Facilitate 8 & 10U matches by being on the court and help the match flow smoothly |
Helping beginner players keep score, know where to stand, help judge line calls only when bad calls are consistently made, answer basic tennis questions (this job does not include any coaching) |
Patient, firm but pleasant personality, good communication skills, not afraid to speak up |
Event by event basis. Position needed for Jr. Team Tennis, Play Days, other 10U competitions |

Station Worker |
Run a tennis station for 10 & Under players |
Feeding balls for “tennis games”, keep a round robin going, demonstrate and help players learn basic tennis fundamentals i.e. bounce downs, bounce ups etc. Other similar type stations |
Fun outgoing personality is best, good communication skills, ability to coach is not necessary but must be able to speak to and help children in a non-threatening, upbeat way. Generally a 1 hour orientation on a different day than event. |
