It is going to be a great new year for tennis in our area. One change right off the bat is our name: South East Tennis League (SET). In North Carolina Tennis Association's quest to include more areas and to welcome all to the great league game, the state has been divided into new regions. Our region includes New Hanover, Brunswick, Columbus, Pender and Bladen Counties. Although the bulk of our participants remain in New Hanover and Brunswick, we do aspire to branch out in the future. Let me offer my hopes that we will all jump on board and continue to enjoy the sport that we all love.
At our recent captain's meeting, I shared more information about the coming year. There have been some significant changes and I know there are still many ratings' concerns and questions. Please look to your captains for more information about all that is going on with the league. Let's make 2010 the best year in league tennis history! |
