First, all problems must be decided between the players on the court with no outside help. Basically, this means you need to know the rules. I am constantly amazed by the number of experienced players who are ignorant of some of the basic rules of tennis. You can learn the rules and the code by following the above links or by purchasing "A Friend at the Court", a small book with the rules and the code which is a nice reference to have in your tennis bag when a question arises. Remember, rules questions must be decided on the court! If you have a question that cannot be decided on the court, you can file a grievance after the match and a committee of players will hear your complaint and rule on it. You must file the grievance IMMEDIATELY.
