Junior Tennis Clinics

Greater Wilmington Tennis Association helps young players in Wilmington, NC and the surrounding areas discover the game of tennis in a positive, encouraging environment.

The GWTA offers many free and low-cost tennis programs for kids and youth players. In addition, there are many private and public facilities that offer lessons, clinics, and camps for beginner to advanced tennis players.

Junior Team Tennis

Our local Junior Team Tennis (JTT) season runs in the spring, with divisions offered for ages 10U–18U across beginner through advanced levels.

Details:

- Teams are coed with a minimum of 4 players.
- Players should be able to serve, maintain a rally, and keep score.
- Team and player registration opens in January, with the season running March - May.

Middle School Tennis

Our Middle School Tennis program is a free experience offered in conjunction with New Hanover County Schools. The middle school season follows the high school schedule, with Girls Tennis in the fall and Boys Tennis in the spring.

This program is completely volunteer-based, and we are always looking for additional volunteer coaches. If you are interested in learning more, please contact our Junior Coordinator, Jessica Holleman, at youth@wilmingtontennis.com.
